Enterprise Risk Management, Global Risks and Prediction Markets
On June 28, PRMIA Chicago, CAA (Chicago Actuarial Association) and MAF (Midwestern Actuarial Forum) had a half-day joint conference on Enterprise Risk Management, Global Risks and Prediction Markets with the Chicago Actuarial Association (CAA) and the Midwestern Actuarial Association (MAF). About 80 people attended and the event was very well received. Many attendees their appreciation of the speakers and the fact that we had brought together such a different yet connected set of topics.
Dr. Joan Lamm-Tennant from Guy Carpenter spoke on enterprise risk management, Dr. Erwann Michel-Kerjan from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania spoke on global risks and Dr. Tom Rietz from the University of Iowa spoke on prediction markets and risk management.
We are hoping to post all of the presentations.
