PRMIA announces today the appointment of Sanjeev Newar and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta as the new co-Regional Directors of the Delhi Chapter.

PRMIA announces today the appointment of Sanjeev Newar and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta as the new co-Regional Directors of the Delhi Chapter.

Sanjeev Newar is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and IIT Guwahati with a decade of experience in Risk Management. He has extensively worked Risk Management implementation for leading firms globally. He is currently the founder CEO of Aarsh Management Solutions, a dedicated Risk Solutions provider for emerging economies. Prior to this venture, Sanjeev has worked with American Express and Moody’s-ICRA. He is an invited faculty to premier institutions of India in topics of finance and risk management. He has also been writing in leading publications on finance and economics.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta is a post-graduate from Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and Ph.D. in finance. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Chartered member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India and fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. He is presently associated as Sr. Associate Professor with Centre for Management Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He has handled the various facets of risk management in companies especially project, financial and operational risks and had organized seminars, conferences and training programmes in the gamut of risk management. He has to his credit several research papers and articles published in reputed international journals. He has authored six books including Insurance and Risk Management (2010 IInd Ed.). He is the president of Delhi Professionals Association (Regd.) and founder member of Society for Professional Development (Regd.). He has been recently appointed as Co-Regional Director, Delhi Chapter of PRMIA, USA. His current area of research interest is enterprise wide risk management.

The chapter, in addition to holding chapter events, will be focusing on partnering with banks, institutions, colleges and educational bodies to promote the PRM Certification. They will be working to start regular risk training and knowledge sharing sessions and get local media involved in chapter activities. The chapter will also offer to support the Central Government and Delhi Government in risk management.
