After a long summer break, PRMIA's seminar programme returns to Amsterdam. Please note the below dates for your diary. Unless otherwise stated, all PRMIA events are free of charge to members. If you are not a member, please join at www.PRMIA.org
11th November - Liquidity Risk & Diversification of Downside Risk
In the first talk, Pierre Hillion from INSEAD proposes that, if risk can be diversified by pooling assets into portfolios, downside risk is much harder if not impossible to diversify. This explains to some extent what we see today in the markets.
In the second talk, Hanne Meihuizen from the DNB will discuss the Dutch framework for liquidity risk supervision. This will address its set up, how it has performed during the current turmoil and the changes in the framework that are foreseen for the near future, including the implementation of the Basel 'Principles of Sound Liquidity Risk Management and Supervision'.
This programme will start at 6pm at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.
10th December - Solvency II
This one day conference, organised in partnership with the University of Amsterdam, will include speakers from the DNB, leading insurance firms and academia. Details will be posted on the PRMIA website later this month.
10-14 November - Asset & Liability Management
This one week course is jointly offered by the PRMIA Institute and the Amsterdam Institute of Finance. Members of PRMIA are entitled to a discount on the attendance fee.
