Tatiana Melnikova New Regional Director for PRMIA Russia Chapter
PRMIA announces today the appointment of Tatiana Melnikova to the position of Regional Director of the Russia Chapter. Tatiana is the Vice-President of Risk Management at Absolute Bank in Moscow. During the last few years Tatiana’s responsibilities included management of directorate engaged in methodology and control functions in capital, value and risk management in big Russian commercial banks. She has experience in the development of risk management frameworks from scratch, implementation of Basel II and other projects linked to managing of risk-management directorate in a commercial bank. Tatiana is currently a lecturer at the Higher School of Economics, Department of Risk Management and Insurance. She carries a degree in higher education in risk-management from the State University of Management in Moscow.
Tatiana will be replacing Sergey Smirnov as Regional Director of the Russia Chapter. For advancement of the PRMIA mission in Russia, Tatiana is planning to hold scientific seminars and organize a webpage in Russian that will provide informational support for PRMIA Russian Chapter activities for members.
PRMIA would like to take this opportunity to thank Sergey Smirnov for his contributions to the Russia chapter and PRMIA. Sergey was a cofounder of PRMIA, served the Russian membership as Regional Director from 2002 – 2009, and is currently a member of the PRMIA Education and Standards Committee. PRMIA is pleased that Sergey will continue to support the local chapter as a member of the Russian Steering Committee.
