Seattle- Risk Management Lessons from the Financial Crisis of 2008-09. Jan 29, 2010

A panel of expert Risk Mgmt practitioners will discuss the events of the past two years, offer their views through a risk management lens and answer questions from the Puget Sound university students and faculty.
A networking social will follow the panel discussion where students will be introduced to the opportunities available through participation in PRMIA activities. More details will be sent by mid Jan.

Congratulations on your exciting exploration into the financial crisis !
In the course of evolution to a more productive, efficient, safer and fairer global financial system, there are many invaluable lessons that must be discerned from this crisis.
There are likely to be macro to micro economic causes including ethical failures that have led to the present financial problem.
We may find that, if result is the bottom line, then the Risk Management philosophy may have to consider a panaromic wide angle risk management lens !
