Views on the Credit Crisis and Thoughts on the Way Forward
PRMIA Shanghai held its first Chapter event on Wednesday 29th October. David Millar, PRMIA's Chief Operating Officer, visited Shanghai and gave members an update of PRMIA's activities and plans, both in China and globally. He then followed this with a presentation on his observations on the role of risk management in the current financial crisis. There was a lively debate and Q&A session as topics such as liquidity, incentive risk and the future of Basel II were discussed. David's presentation can be downloaded by clicking here.
The meeting was held at the excellent facilities of Protiviti's training academy at Huai Hai Plaaza on the Zhong Road in central Shanghai. PRMIA would like to thank Protiviti for providing the venue.
PRMIA will soon be announcing Regional Directors for both Shanghai and Beijing and, once our new RDs are in place, we can expect a lively series of presentation and events in both cities.
