<description><![CDATA[<p>PRMIA Tokyo announces a conference on Credit Risk Management scheduled for February 25, 2008. The event is part of the PRMIA Global Event series on Credit Risk and will feature lectures by distinguished local professionals well positioned to discuss the challenges and opportunities that the financial industry face in the post sub-prime market environment.</p>

<p>Details of the lecture topics as well as the schedule will be announced later on the PRMIA Tokyo Web page. Tentatively the speaker list include </p>

<p><strong>1. Prof. Takeaki Kariya</strong>, Kyoto University as well as Meiji University in Financial Engineering </p>

<p><strong>2. Mr. Tsuyoshi Oyama</strong>, Director, Deputy Director-General, Financial Systems and Bank Examination Department, Bank of Japan</p>

<p><strong>3. Dr. Masayasu Kanno</strong>, PhD from Kyoto University , Senior Manager in Ernst&Young ShinNihon on Basel 2 practice</p>

<p>PRMIA Tokyo will also align the regular PRM Study Sessions and Quantitative Finance Seminars for February with the Credit Risk theme of the Global Event Series.   </p>

<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>PRMIA Aims to Enhance Risk Management Culture in Japan</strong></p>

<p>Tokyo, Japan, October 5, 2007 – PRMIA today announced the addition of PRMIA Tokyo as its first chapter in Japan. </p>

<p>Koichi Dezuka, Senior Manager with Ernst & Young in the RAS (Risk Advisory Services for Financial Services) as well as the Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services globally, is the Regional Director of the new PRMIA Tokyo Chapter. Mr. Dezuka shares the goals of the PRMIA Tokyo chapter, “Our goal is to enhance the risk management culture in Japan. Initially, we will hold Professional Risk Manager (PRM) Exam Study Groups and schedule risk management seminars.” He adds, “During 2008 we plan to hold major risk management events and begin to collaborate with other PRMIA chapters around the globe.”<br />

The group will meet monthly with the purpose to facilitate communication and networking between PRM exam candidates in the Tokyo region. Each meeting will cover a topic from the PRM Handbook through a short presentation followed by discussions. </p>

<p>We also welcome members who want to learn more about the PRM exams, find study partners or just sit in on the presentation.</p>
