The Future of Risk Management: You, Your Career, and Your Network
The DC PRMIA Chapter, each year, holds at least one event that is dedicated exclusively to professional development, training and your career in risk. Whether you are in energy, finance, technology, the public sector, or other industries that require an expertise in risk, it is critical that you maintain your professional credentials, expand your network of fellow risk managers, and learn what the latest trends are within the risk management discipline.
As a member of the DC PRMIA Chapter, you are no doubt aware of our strong partnership with George Washington University and the quality programs that have been hosted over the years. This year we are, once again, focusing our attention on you - the professional risk manager - and invite you to our September 23rd event at GWU.
When: September 23, 2010 from 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Where: 2201 G Street NW - Duquès Hall - Suite 620
What: Hot topics in risk-recruiting and the risk profession
A light reception will be provided. During the event we will answer the following questions:
• What are emerging areas of rapid growth in the risk management profession?
• What are the essential technical and professional business skills, and how to attain them?
• What are the interviewing requirements for technically challenging positions?
• The “bookshelf test”: What should you be reading and why?
We will also discuss, in a panel format, the emerging Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Systemic Risk Oversight, and Issues Surrounding National Housing Policy.
You may RSVP at: dc@prmia.org
