AEI/PRMIA Session Great Success
The session on the subprime crisis held October 11, 2007 at American Enterprise Institute, The Deflating Mortgage and Housing Bubble, Part II, The Financial and Political Risks, was a great success, with more than 100 members of the DC chapter of PRMIA in attendance and a total of over 200 total attendees. Several dozen people were turned away at the door due to a lack of space.
In attendance were economists Desmond Lachman of AEI, John H. Makin of Caxton, and Nouriel Roubini of NYU and Roubini Global Economics, and Thomas Zimmerman, managing director at UBS Investment Bank. AEI resident fellow Alex J. Pollock moderated. PRMIA DC chapter regional director R. Christopher Whalen was unable to attend due to a family emergency.
AEI's Pollock was so pleased with the turnout and the program content developed jointly with PRMIA that he ia already planning a third meeting in March 2008. Further details will be posted on the date and time shortly.
