Bahrain Chapter Formally Opened
At the 2008 International Risk Seminar on November 30th, The Bahrain Chapter was formally opened with a cake-cutting ceremony by His Excellency Rasheed AlMaraj, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, and David Millar, PRMIA’s Chief Operating Officer.
At the following event, chaired by Kalyan Sunderam, PRMIA Bahrain’s Regional Director and Chief Risk Officer and Deputy CEO of the Bahraini Saudi Bank, the speakers included Richard Ellis, Advisor to the Banking Supervision Directorate of the Central Bank of Bahrain, David Rowe, EVP for Risk Management at Sungard, Moorad Choudhry, Head of Treasury of the Europe Arab Bank, and Ashraf Bseisu, Chairman of the Bahrain Insurance Association and President of GAIF. Presentations were followed by a lively question session.
