About Alton Cogert

Alton Cogert, CFA,CPA, President and CEO Strategic Asset Alliance(SAA) founded SAA in 1994 as an investment consulting firm that is comprised of former chief investment officers and the first that exclusively serves insurance companies. He is a former member of the Board of Directors and former chairman of the Investment Committee of the National Alliance of Life Companies. Mr. Cogert has more than twenty years of financial institution experience with more than half that time in senior financial management. He holds a BS from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

In addition to having authored several articles for AM Best publications, Mr. Cogert is currently the editor of SAA's blog, "From the Northwest Quadrant" and quarterly newsletter "Insurer Investment Strategies."
