About Sai Sireesh

Sai Sireesh leads a key risk initiative in the Global Risk Management team at Russell Investments, to oversee global exposures. He serves pro-bono as the Co-Regional Director for PRMIA Seattle and was earlier Co-RD for PRMIA Singapore (2003-2006). He has over 18 years of global experience across Risk, Strategy and Business leadership. Deeply passionate about risk management and business strategy, Sai is his global career has helped large banks, insurance, capital market, regulators, corporates and rating agencies solve some of their most pressing risk management. These projects included the Risk modeling, development of risk frameworks, Risk systems rollout, and the convergence of governance, risk and compliance. Prior to Russell, he was Director & Global Head - Risk & Compliance solutions at Microsoft Corporation, where he incubated a multi- million dollar Risk and compliance business. His other stints have been at a KPMG member firm, Reuters Risk Practice, Banque Nationale De Paris & BPI Investment Mgmt. He has led initiatives in North America, London, Munich, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and India. An MBA(finance) with a computer engineering degree, he has attended courses at Wharton, INSEAD, NUS Singapore - Financial Engineering Center & Berkman Centre for Internet Law, Harvard Law School. He is a regular speaker at industry forums and has authored numerous whitepapers on Risk & Compliance. Since early 2000, Sai has been involved in the incubation of many PRMIA chapters across Asia Pacific and served earlier as Vice Chair-Asia Pacific, RD Standards Committee. For his efforts, he was recognized by PRMIA in April 2009 as an outstanding volunteer in helping develop the risk management profession and practices across the world.
