Prof. Michael Ong is Professor of Finance and the Program Director for the MS Finance Program at the Stuart Graduate School of Management in Chicago. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the Americas for Credit Agricole Indosuez in New York. Prior to his position with Credit Agricole Indosuez, Dr. Ong was the Head of Enterprise Risk Management for ABN-AMRO Bank, where he was responsible for management information and decision support function for the Executive Committee regarding enterprise-wide market, credit, operational and liquidity risk, as well as RAROC, ROE and related metrics. Prior to that, he was Head of Corporate Research for First Chicago NBD Corporation and led quantitative research for Chicago Research and Trading. He is author of several critically acclaimed texts, including Internal Credit Risk Models - Capital Allocation and Performance Measurement and Credit Ratings - Rationale Methodologies and Default Risk. He has his BS in Physics, cum laude, from the University of the Philippines, MA in Physics, MS in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
