Speaker Bios:
MARCUS CREE is the North America Solutions Director, SunGard Trading and Risk Systems. His experience and education, has moved him from a Mathematics degree through market analyst for a trading desk, through portfolio management and performance attribution both within the industry directly and as a software designer, through risk management for capital markets firms on the software side, provided a thorough grounding in the techniques used to measure and evaluate market and credit risk/return. These have been extremely analytical roles, requiring keeping fully up to date with structured products and valuation sophistication as well as requiring an appreciation for the practical side of actually managing risk. As a UK citizen and a US green card holder, Marcus is able to and do work across multiple global markets.

Jonathan York
Vice President of Technology & Development
Mr. York is Vice President of Research and Development at BancWare ERisk, a division of SunGard specializing in risk and capital management solutions for financial institutions. He is responsible for managing the research and development of methodology and solutions for risk and capital analytics. This includes BancWare’s software product line for economic and regulatory capital as well as managing the methodology consulting business, and providing thought-leadership for the organization’s clients.
Prior to joining BancWare ERisk, Mr. York was a Risk Consultant at IBM where he was one of the leading professional experts in the EMEA Risk Management Practice. While at IBM, Mr. York designed and implemented solutions for large, international financial institutions to help them measure and manage their risk and identify optimal strategies.
Mr. York received his B.A. with Second Class Honors in Physics from the University of Oxford (UK). |
