The new Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) method of accounting for loans will be one of the biggest changes in the history of accounting for financial institutions. CECL is expected to materially impact capital requirements and nearly every facet of bank operations. Published in 2016 with a 2020 deadline for most public financial institutions, many are underestimating the impact and time required to achieve compliance. This event will dive into the key elements of CECL, especially modeling, data, and infrastructure challenges. A panel discussion, Q&A, and networking social will give attendees a unique opportunity to gain insights from experts and peers.
