About This webinar

As information technology is now a critical enabler of practically all operations across both public and private institutions, achieving and maintaining a high level of cybersecurity has become a critical capability and source of competitive advantage. However, the perception that the challenge is mainly technological and the current approaches adopted (e.g. NIST’s cybersecurity framework), has made cybersecurity efforts the work and responsibility of a narrow group of subject matter experts therefore limiting effective engagement of an institution's senior management and all other employees.

We argue that limiting an institution's ability to efficiently scale and optimize their cyber security efforts as well as to effectively engage all employees in cyber resilient behavior is deeply sub-optimal.  We start by identifying the barriers to effective engagement of management and employees into the planning, funding and implementation of cyber security efforts. We introduce a clear-cut categorization for cyber security risks with real-world examples. We provide intuitive tools for risk managers to assess their institution's cyber threats enabling the active participation of both senior management and all other employees in the scaling and implementation of cyber resilient business practices.
