About This webinar

Risk is an integral part of any business. Risks can be of various natures like financial, operational, governance, compliance, legal, regulatory, country etc. Risks cannot be avoided but can be effectively managed. The impact of risks is huge for any organization and it is important that the organization’s risk management is enabled to manage or mitigate the risks as effectively as possible.

Technology has and will play a key role in risk management. In simple words, risk is about predicting the possibility of a future event and taking appropriate measures to mitigate it. Risk Management activities are at the top of value driven activities spectrum as it requires high level of skill and analytical capabilities and directly impacts all the areas of an organization. Hence it is becoming a top priority (and rightfully so) for most of the organizations.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an emerging technology area which can potentially impact any facet of an organization. AI capabilities have vastly improved over the last 3 or 4 years with able support from technology that many organizations (particularly risk management) are at the cross-roads of implementing/adapting AI based solutions. Understand what makes AI relevant now?

With new technologies, new organizations, fragile world trade, globalization, emerging crypto currencies social media etc. the job of a risk manager is never so relevant and valuable. With that comes the challenge. Imagine what AI can do to navigate the challenge.

As corporate treasury or banks or other financial services companies seek to improve risk management systems, AI forms the core of any system. AI-driven risk management solutions have the potential to revolutionize all facets of risk management and compliance - AML, Credit risk, Infrastructure risk, Cybersecurity, Market risk, Sovereign risk etc. As with any technology, there are opportunities but at the same time risks of adopting it.

This webinar will discuss the approach to AI based solution with a particular focus on Risk Management enabling the participants gain a first-hand understanding of the technology (in this age of technology, it is imperative for everyone to have a basic understanding of technology), its potential, different application areas and pitfalls in adoption. It will also help participants make an informed decision on using AI for their risk management practices.

The presentation will be led using statistics, images and case studies addressing the following, followed by Q&A at the end:

• Understand in brief how AI solutions work – the different components and the underlying technologies
• Explore cutting edge AI-driven use cases deployed at banks, financial institutions and other organizations
• Increase the Risk Management Arsenal with Artificial Intelligence

• Briefly describe how to undertake an AI project, the potential pitfalls in AI projects and how to overcome them
