Peter Rossiter is the Chief Risk Officer of Starling International, the international division of Starling Bank. He has a long career in risk management starting in Citi with assignments in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Turkey, Russia and Poland. On leaving Citi in 2009, he returned to Ireland as Chief Risk Officer of Anglo Irish Bank and then as Chief Risk Officer of Allied Irish Bank, the largest bank in Ireland. Both banks had been nationalised due to the Irish financial crisis of 2008. After five years of intense recovery and resolution activities, Peter joined the fintech sector as Chief Risk Officer of Starling Bank, a UK ’neo’ retail bank which launched to customers in 2017. Following an interlude in Abu Dhabi to help start another fintech bank, this time in trade finance, Peter returned to Starling to help drive its international expansion from a base in Ireland.
