In today’s volatile financial market, the need for risk management knowledge and understanding at all levels of management is critical. Now more than ever before, it is essential to understand the multiple dimensions of risk as well as how to best manage risk to gain a competitive advantage. The Associate PRM Certificate is designed to be mathematically and theoretically less detailed than the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification, this program covers the core concepts of risk management, allowing non-specialists to interpret risk management information and reports, make critical assessments, and evaluate the implications and the limitations of such results.

Participants will:

  • Be better prepared for the APRM Certificate exam, which can demonstrate one’s knowledge necessary to understand and manage risks in any corporate or economic environment

  Justin McCarthy brings a wealth of experience from his roles in prestigious firms such as Bank of America,  Merrill Lynch, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and the Irish Financial Regulator. His extensive background has provided him with a unique perspective on the evolution of risk management and regulation, particularly during and after the Global Financial Crisis. As the CEO of PRMIA, Justin leads a global network of over 45,000 risk management professionals. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from University College Cork and an MBA from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin. He has also earned a Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School.
