Stéphanie Acciaioli, Fonds Solidarité FTQ

Stephanie Acciaioli is an Advisor-Financial Strategy and Integrated Risk Management at Fonds de Solidarité FTQ. Her role consists of analyzing company risks, gathering information from key sources and developing efficient research and monitoring tools.
Prior to joining Fonds de Solidarité FTQ, Stephanie held different positions at BMO, GE Capital, and Desjardins where she developed corporate financing, client relationship management, portfolio management and credit assessment and adjudication skills.
Stephanie has a master degree in finance from HEC Montreal as well as the CFA designation.

François Audet, PSP Investments

François Audet is a Director in the Private Market Risk group at PSP Investments. Since joining PSP Investments in July 2010, François has been involved in the implementation of a comprehensive risk assessment framework for private market investments. By performing fundamental credit analysis, François and his team assess and monitor the risk profile of Real Estate and Private Equity investments as well as the risk profile of each asset class.
Prior to joining PSP Investments, François held various positions at CDPQ as well as GE Capital.
François is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Jean-Francois Desmarais, CFA, Partner, Deal Advisory, Valuations, KPMG s.r.l./S.E.N.C.R.L. in Montreal

Jean-François is Partner in Deal Advisory group, contributing directly to the Valuation practice in Quebec. Jean-François has accumulated a wealth of experience working on valuations for various purposes: buy & sell side transactions; private equity investment advisory; fairness opinion; purchase price allocation; goodwill impairment testing; international tax planning; and litigation.

Dominique Décarie, President, Décarie Executive Search

Dominique Décarie is the President of Décarie Executive Search. Known for her keen sense of judgment, her attention to detail, her creativity, her uncanny ability to be attuned to her clients’ needs and her determination to serve as their ambassador in the talent market, Dominique has been honoured to work with a number of major enterprises in their efforts to net key players for their organization. She has been particularly active in the financial services, not-for-profit and retail sectors. 
Dominique was previously a partner with Korn/Ferry International, where she managed the financial services division of their Montreal office, serving clients in Canada and abroad. 
In addition to her accomplishments in the executive search field, Dominique chairs the board of directors of the Marie-Vincent Foundation and the Marie-Vincent Child Advocacy Centre, Quebec’s first and only centre specializing in treatment and support for young sexual abuse victims. 
In recognition of her exceptional volunteer contributions, Dominique was awarded the first grant for outstanding achievement by the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (Corporate Directors College), affiliated with Laval University, in 2016. 
Dominique earned an MBA at HEC Montréal and a BA in sociology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

Stéphan Drolet, FCPA, FCA, CPA●EJC, EEE, CFE,CFF, Advisory Leader - Quebec, Partner and National Leader - Forensic

Stephan Drolet is the National Forensic Leader, and is the Leader of Advisory Services in Quebec since 2013. He has over 27 years of experience in forensic accounting, in the context of fraud investigations, money laundering, and other financial and economic crimes. He is also specialized in include fraud investigation and prevention, business valuations, insurance claims and civil litigation (quantification of damages). He is also frequently called to testify as an expert witness in various forensic and litigation investigations. Mr. Drolet has conducted several data analytics mandates in the financial industry to detect patterns and fraudulent activities. He enabled his clients to establish sound governance practices, recover large sums, and implement better analytical tools.

Claude Guèvremont, Manager, Communications Marketing, Institutional Markets, Fiera Capital Corporation

Claude Guèvremont is a member of the Institutional Markets team and is responsible for Fiera Capital’s institutional business development support team. In this function, she is responsible for the development of the Institutional team’s marketing material including the completion of the Requests for Proposal (RFP), presentations and consultant databases. 
Claude has 7 years of industry experience and joined the firm in 2010.  
She graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), majoring in Finance.


Panel Moderator - Pascal François, HEC Montréal, IFSID 

Pascal François is full professor of Finance at HEC Montreal. He is the director of the Montreal Institute of Structured Products and Derivative Instruments (IFSID) since its creation in 2011. Pascal is also co-editor of Finance, the academic journal of the French Finance Association. His research focuses on derivatives, credit risk, and contingent claims analysis applied to corporate finance. Pascal’s scientific contributions have been published in some of the top journals of the field, including the Journal of Business, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Banking and Finance. Pascal has also authored three textbooks in Finance. He holds a joint Ph.D. from Sorbonne University and ESSEC Business School.

David Latour, M.Sc, FRM, CFA Advisory Vice-President, Risk Management, Fixed Income CDPQ

David Latour has more than 12 years of experience in risk management. For the last eight years, David has been working at Caisse de dépôt et placements du Québec where he has held different roles in credit, liquidity and counterparty risk management. For the past year, he has been the Business Unit Risk Manager for the Fixed income portfolio. His different responsibilities include portfolio construction, transactional analyses and representing the Risk team on investment committees. He is also responsible for continually developing the risk culture within the portfolio and risk management teams.  
Prior to joining Caisse de dépôt et placements du Québec, he worked at RBC Royal Bank and GE Capital Canada. David obtained a Master’s degree in Finance from HEC Montreal as well as the FRM and CFA certifications. He is also a member of PRMIA Montreal steering committee. 

Mohamed Mokhtari, M.Sc., CFA, FRM
Partner and National Practice Leader, Financial Risk Management Advisory Services, Risk Consulting, KPMG

Mohamed Mokhtari is the partner in charge of the Financial Risk Management Consulting practice of KPMG Advisory Services in Canada. He has sixteen years of experience in the promulgation of sound treasury and risk management practices to financial institutions, pension funds and corporations. He is an expert in market and credit risk measurement and tools, in credit and market risk management, and in investment management especially within the context of Pension funds. Through advisory projects, he’s been involved in market risk quantification as well as developing hedging strategies for corporations and pension funds. He also led projects related to market and credit risk modeling, stress testing framework, ICCAP modeling, as well as counterparty risk within the context of Basel requirements. 

He’s as well experienced in asset management especially within the context of Pension funds. Mohamed Mokhtari has indeed started his career working for Watson Wyatt Worldwide in Europe assisting pension funds in the area of Asset management consulting. Since then, he’s been extensively involved in risk management and investment management related projects with several large financial institutions and pension funds in Canada. Finally, Mohamed, known as a subject matter expert in the area of derivatives and risk management, teaches an educational program for professionals in the area risk management as part as the Executive Education program of HEC.

Mathieu Tanguay, Triasima

Mathieu Tanguay joined Triasima Investment Management in 2016 as President and Senior Partner. In this role, he assumes the responsibilities related to client relationships, operations & technology, compliance and human resources. He also contributes to the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.  Mr. Tanguay has extensive experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Triasima, he was a Partner and the Market Business Leader for Mercer’s investment consulting practice in Central and Eastern Canada. In this role, Mr. Tanguay and his team provided strategic consulting to institutional investors on all aspects related to asset management, including governance, strategy design (risk management, liability-driven investment, etc.), implementation, and performance monitoring. Prior to that, Mr. Tanguay taught Finance at HEC Montréal and was Vice President, Capital Markets at TD Securities. He also acted as President of the Montreal Bond Traders’ Association. Mr. Tanguay holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from HEC Montréal and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
